This policy explains how Convela ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit convela.ch or contact us. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where visitors are located in the EU/EEA, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may also apply; the rights below are provided accordingly.
Who is responsible

What we collect
- Enquiry data. When you email us, we receive your name, email address and the contents of your message.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) that our host records when any website is accessed, used for security and diagnostics.
- Analytics data. Only if you accept analytics via the cookie banner: aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics. We do not use tracking for advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
Why we process it
To respond to and manage your enquiry; to operate, secure and maintain the website; and, only with your consent, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Our processing is limited to these purposes and carried out in good faith and proportionately, as required by the FADP.
Cookies
The site sets no non-essential cookies unless you accept them through the banner. Analytics, if enabled, runs only after consent and can be declined without affecting your use of the site. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies in your browser.
Disclosure and processors
We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate the site — our website host and, where enabled, our analytics provider — bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-processing obligations. We do not sell personal data or disclose it for advertising.
Transfers abroad
Where personal data is processed outside Switzerland, we transfer it only to countries recognised as providing adequate protection, or under recognised safeguards such as the Swiss Standard Contractual Clauses, consistent with the FADP.
Retention
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as necessary to handle your request and any resulting relationship, then delete it. Server logs are held for a limited period by our host.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, and its correction or deletion. Where the GDPR applies, you may also object to or restrict certain processing and request data portability. To exercise any right, email hello@convela.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or, if the GDPR applies to you, your local supervisory authority.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including serving the site exclusively over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
